Music is in the air as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is back!

Tickets for the popular music festival reportedly were wiped out in a matter of 15 minutes as enthusiastic fans purchased their passes for the first weekend, where Mexican Tribal-Guarachero/ Latin House group will be headlining.

Going on its ninth year, Coachella is an annual celebration of music featuring music of multiple genres such as, hip hop, rock, indie and electronic music. The festival also displays sculptural art and up and coming artists.

According to the L.A. Times many experienced technical difficulties along with long waiting periods and site crashes when attempting to get tickets for the weekend of April 12. Luckily, there appears to be tickets left for the second weekend of April 19. Both shows will take place in Indo, Calif.

Last year, as Fox News Latino reported, Mexican telenovela actress-turned-singer Ximena Sariñana headlined the awaited music event.

Others who joined Sariñana at Coachella included Mexican bands Hello Seahorse! and Le Butcherettes.

3BallMTY just recently took over Las Vegas during the annual Latin Grammy awards ceremony and even took home the accolade for best new artist, and rocked the stage with LMFAO’s Sky Blu.

“I know I cried,” said one of the members of 3BallMTY. “But, this means a lot to us.”

Jason London Suffered 'Brutal Attack' While Being Arrested: Rep

After being arrested following a bar fight in Scottsdale, Ariz., over the weekend, Jason London insists the incident isn't what it seems.

"The details of the events leading up to the incident are still being worked out with the help of many eyewitness testimonies; people who were there with Jason for the duration of the evening and with the recollection Jason does have. We will undoubtedly get to the bottom of the specifics. Neither Jason nor any of the witnesses we have spoken to have any recollection of anything even feeling like it was going south," according to a statement released by London's rep.

The statement claims that "excessive force" was used by the four bouncers during the altercation at the Martini Ranch

The statement continues: "Bars are institutions where there are drunk people who are sometimes inappropriate and even violent. It is the bouncers' job to remove the problem and if it is necessary, to use force in order to secure the safety of the establishment and patrons. It is not acceptable to retaliate with brutality once that has been accomplished."

London's injuries include "a right orbital fracture, a right maxillary sinus fracture, multiple contusions, multiple hematomas and concussion."

But the cause of the scuffle remains unclear: "In the midst of having a good time, Jason doesremember one of the guys saying something about Jason looking at his friend's girl wrong and grabbing and dragging him. The next thing Jason remembers was coming to with the cops arresting him," the statement reads.

Following his arrest, the actor – who is best known for his role in Dazed and Confused – allegedly intentionally defecated in the backseat of a patrol car, the police report claims.

The report also states that the twin brother of Jeremy London continually cursed at the officer, dropping a homophobic slur and telling the officer to "look me up" because "I'm rich" and "a famous actor."

Managers for the Martini Ranch weren't immediately available for comment.

Vijay Singh admits using deer antler spray, says he didn't know it was a banned substance

Vijay Singh admits using deer antler spray, says he didn't know it was a banned substance

Vijay Singh

Vijay Singh has admitted to taking a deer antler spray, which contains a substance banned by thePGA Tour, but the professional golfer says he didn’t do so intentionally.
“While I have used deer antler spray, at no time was I aware that it may contain a substance that is banned under the PGA Tour Anti-Doping Policy,” Singh said in a statement released Wednesday in response to a Sports Illustrated report that the golfer has taken a banned substance. “In fact, when I first received the product, I reviewed the list of ingredients and did not see any prohibited substances.”
Singh was recently named in a SI report about a sports supplement company, Sports With Alternatives to Steroids, which claims to also have provided products for athletes including Singh and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
Lewis, in New Orleans for Sunday's Super Bowl, called allegations that he took a banned substance to bolster his recovery from a torn triceps “the work of the devil.”
Deer antler spray, which Singh admits he has used, contains the banned substance IGF-1.
Singh said he has been in contact with the PGA Tour and is cooperating in its review. A PGA spokesman said the tour is "looking into the matter."
According to the report, Singh paid $9,000 for the deer antler spray and other products in November.
“I am absolutely shocked that deer antler spray may contain a banned substance and am angry that I have put myself in this position,” Singh said.
Singh has 34 career PGA Tour victories as well as 13 European Tour wins.

BlackBerry 10 and Z10 Review: BlackBerry Catches Up

BlackBerry 10 and Z10 Review: BlackBerry Catches Up

PHOTO: BlackBerry Z10

It was 2008 and my BlackBerry Curve's BBM was overflowing with contacts. I'd plug away on the physical keyboard, quickly firing off messages and emails to my friends and colleagues. Back then, most of them had the same phone or another one of RIM's popular handsets, like the BlackBerry Pearl.
By 2010 that list of contacts was empty. All my friends had abandoned BlackBerrys for iPhones or Android phones. I did the same. What choice did we have? While Apple and other phone makers started making phones that did amazing things with rich applications and fast Web browsers, BlackBerry clung to its outdated phone software.

That is, until today. After delays and years of dragging its feet, BlackBerry is finally ready with its new BlackBerry 10 operating system, a complete overhaul of the BlackBerry you've known. Even the company name has been overhauled; no longer RIM, or Research in Motion, it's just calling itself BlackBerry.

Its first phone to run the software -- the BlackBerry Z10 -- starts at $199 on contract at AT&T and other carriers this March, and finally has the hardware to compete with all those other high-speed smartphones you see in people's hands. Can it be? Is BlackBerry actually back?
A Phone Designed for Software
"That's a BlackBerry?" "Where's the keyboard?" That's the main reaction I've gotten to the Z10. The phone looks nothing like the typical BlackBerry with a physical keyboard and almost everything like an Android phone or iPhone. It has a large 4.2-inch 1280 x 768-resolution display and a thin all-black body with a soft-to-the-touch back. It's not a beautiful or elegant phone, but it's well-made and comfortable to hold.
Powered by a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and AT&T LTE, the phone is something that some of the BlackBerrys of past have never been described as being: fast. Not only is it the fastest BlackBerry ever made, it gives even the best Android phones and the iPhone 5 a run for their money in terms of speed, especially when it comes to Web browsing. Unfortunately, that power shortens battery life, but it is fast.
In heavy use, the phone doesn't last more than a full work day. I was actually lucky to see it last past 5 p.m. on a regular day of heavy emailing, tweeting and surfing the Web. On the plus side, the back cover of the phone comes off, allowing you to replace the battery. The company will also sell a portable charging accessory, which contains a second battery for the phone.

Rudy Gay is sent to Toronto in a three-team deal that doesn’t look all that great for Toronto

Rudy Gay is sent to Toronto in a three-team deal that doesn’t look all that great for Toronto

When the Memphis Grizzlies dealt three solid players and a draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for little-used Jon Leuer last week, the general consensus around the league was that the Grizzlies had effectively nickel-and-dimed their way out of having to deal forward Rudy Gay. After all, the team was no longer set to pay the luxury tax, and the Grizz needed all the scoring they could get. And Rudy’s a scorer, right?
In Memphis’ eyes? No. The team’s new front office has never been smitten with Gay’s work, taking plenty of shots to score a middling amount of points, while offering precious little else in terms of defense, rebounding, passing or putting opponents into the penalty. Even without the luxury-tax restrictions influencing movement, the two years and more than $37 million remaining on Rudy Gay’s contract after this season is far too steep a price to pay for his production. If you’re going to make $17.88 million, as Rudy will next year, you should at least be averaging 17.88 points per game while shooting an acceptable percentage.
Instead, Memphis is dealing Gay’s 17.2 points per contest and 40.8 shooting percentage to the Toronto Raptors. The team will also give up fan favorite Hamed Haddadi (who will be waived by Toronto), and receive promising forward/center Ed Davis from Toronto. The Raptors will send guard Jose Calderon to Memphis, and the Grizzlies will re-route the pass-first distributor to Detroit in exchange for Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye. In all, nobody seems happy.
This is how the NBA’s various interests work. Detroit badly needs a distributor, and despite his many misgivings, Calderon is one of the NBA’s best and he owns an expiring contract that will help the Pistons get far under the salary cap this summer. Memphis saves a huge amount of cash while being able to distribute Gay’s 16.4 shot attempts per game amongst more efficient players, and Toronto … well, we have no idea what the hell Toronto is doing.
We know why the Raptors want Rudy Gay. He looked like a real comer back in 2006, but he’s done absolutely nothing besides look the part of an All-Star while offering the production of an average player. When you factor in the history that suggests he’ll be taking shots away from players who do more productive things with the ball offensively, this average turn might trend down into the realm of the negative. Toss in his maximum contract and … another winner, Bryan Colangelo!

Real Madrid v Barcelona – as it happened

Real Madrid v Barcelona – as it happened

A late equaliser from the outstanding Raphael Varane gave Real a deserved draw in a richly entertaining match

Preamble

In the 164 months between 23 August 1997 and 20 April 2011, Real Madrid and Barcelona met only twice outside La Liga, in the European Cup semi-final over 2002. In the 15 months since they have met seven times outside La Liga, with the eighth and ninth to come in this Copa del Rey semi-final. It's been an orgy of Clásicism, and quantitative affirmation of their unprecedented duopoly, whatever the league table says.
Sometimes, contrary to the received wisdom, the league table does lie. You can't take Real Madrid's league position seriously. Jose Mourinho gave up on the league before the X-Factor and Strictly got going. Jose's up to something, though goodness knows what. What's he playing at? What's his angle? This is a man who would probably consider going on Jeff Bridges' Big Lebowski diet, and shambling onto the touchline in a dressing gown and with a walking stick, if he thought it would unsettle Barcelona, so there's no way he'll go quietly from Madrid now that he appears to hold them with around the same affection as he does Barca.
That he will be going is surely not in doubt. He has few friends in Madrid these days and in a sense this game is Barcelona + Real Madrid versus Jose Mourinho. I know who my money's on. It would not be at all surprising if Jose pulled off a glorious triumph in absurdity; if, come May, he was cavorting round Wembley having beaten Barcelona in the European Cup final, his final game as Real Madrid manager, with Sergio Ramos on one arm and Iker Casillas on the other, both having whipped off their Madrid tops to reveal 'I BELONG TO JOSE' T-shirts.
In a sense Mourinho can't lose, which is a perfect position for a serial winner to be in. If he beats Barcelona here and/or wins the European Cup, Jose has done it again and you better bow down, ingrates. If Madrid are defenestrated 5-0 by Barcelona and win the square root of bugger all, well, ha ha Madrid! Ha ha! This is what you get when you mess with Jose, Madrid. NMFP, Madrid.
Jose's out of Madrid in the summer, and at the moment he looks like a man who could barely care less. It's been a majestic, almost nihilistic performance from Jose these last couple of months; goodness knows how good it will get as the season reaches the business end.

Tornado Hits Adairsville, Ga. Powerful tornado tears a path through Georgia town.

Transcript for Tornado Hits Adairsville, Ga.

Millions of americans bracing for the impact, everything from stalled trains and planes to tornadoes. And here is the map. An area from the florida panhandle to new york, under a severe weather warning. Abc's steve osunsami is outside atlanta tonight in adairsville, georgia, where one powerful tornado has already torn through town. Reporter: An hour north of atlanta, an amazing picture, the sky was falling. We've got debris flying to the left and center of this system. The sirens have been going off here. The wind is kicking up, along with the rain. Again, a funnel crossing the interstate here in adairsville. Reporter: Witnesses here say the tornado was on the ground, churning through homes, office buildings and factories for more than 20 minutes. Scientists think it was an ef-2 or greater, with wind speeds more than 125 miles an hour. Please take safe shelter for us right now. Get in the center portion of your home. A basement if you have it. Reporter: In calhoun, georgia, homes were leveled. At this factory in adairsville, workers scrambled for cover. Neighbors had to rescue families trapped inside their homes. One man was killed. There was no warnings, no nothing. Reporter: We talked with the family of the man who tied. They were at home looking for a lost pet. Jessica cantrell told us she can't bear to look. I wouldn't anybody else to look at this. Ha that's going to be able to get back on your feet. Reporter: I'm sorry. The tornado left behind what looked like a junkyard, with twisted semitrailers, more than 100 cars flipped by the end. Travis richardson was in his 18-wheeler when the tornado lifted his truck off the ground and threw it off the road. I couldn't believe it picked up my truck and flipped it over like that. I can't believe it. Reporter: The storm still stretches more than 900 long miles, and as it marched across the country, it brought high winds to texas. In missouri, flash flooding. And then winds that knocked down 50 train cars. Further north in green county, indiana, dozens of homes were damaged or destroyed. Today's misery reached quinn county, tennessee, where families are counting their blessings. It's just the worst sound i ever heard in my life. Reporter: And the storm isn't done yet. In pennsylvania, blistering winds flipped this helicopter. Tonight, there will be severe weather warnings across the south. High wind, rain, expected to reach as far north as new york.
